Our fall season begins the Monday after Labor Day and ends with Holiday concerts in December. New members are accepted through September.
Our spring season usually begins the first Monday after the New Years holiday, ending with a spring concert in April or May. New members are accepted through January.
Throughout each season we perform mini-concerts for organizations, retirement homes, and community events.
To achieve quality performances, a commitment to preparation and prompt attendance at our weekly rehearsals is asked of our members.
Monthly membership dues cover the normal expenses of the chorus.
Our non-profit chorus functions on a volunteer basis to fill offices, share responsibilities, and accomplish fund raising events such as our annual rummage sale, ticket sales, raffle items, and CD sales.
Lake Washington Singers was established in 1952 by members of the Association of University Women who desired a chorus that would provide an opportunity for women to perform a variety of music. Their desire was to further the proficiency of the members' choral skills and extended to encouraging young vocalists through scholarship awards.
